ASKED OFTEN
Where are the underground techno raves in Malta?
The Hotpot runs boiler-room-style techno sessions in small rooms around Malta — warehouses, basements, places that don't advertise. The exact location is revealed 24 hours before doors, to ticket holders and signups first. Sign up free and you'll hear the moment a session is announced.
What kind of techno is played?
Groovy techno (128–138 BPM, rolling and hypnotic), happy techno (138–145 BPM, euphoria without the cheese) and hard-groove techno (140–150 BPM, physical and relentless). No main-stage EDM, no gloss.
How do tickets and the waitlist work?
Tickets are tiered with hard caps per person and no open resale. Sold out means join the waitlist: when someone releases a ticket it's automatically offered to the next person in line at face value for 24 hours. Scalpers starve.
Are Hotpot events 18+?
Yes. All events, giveaways and raffles are strictly 18+. Bring ID — door staff check.
What are the house rules?
Respect the room. Consent, always. No phones on the floor. Free earplugs and water at the door. Zero tolerance for creeps. Leave no trace.
How is The Hotpot different from a festival like Glitch or XXL?
Festivals are big stages and big lineups. The Hotpot is the opposite: intimate rooms where the crowd is the show — plus a year-round community platform with an AI track kitchen, song competitions the room votes on, merch drops and provably fair giveaways.
